Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a book gifting program that mails FREE high-quality, age-appropriate books to children from birth until their fifth birthday. Now available to all families in northern Nevada, the Imagination Library helps improve children’s reading skills, promotes family bonding time, and fosters a love for reading. After enrolling, a book is delivered to that child’s home monthly.

The Friends of the Douglas County Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization of library supporters dedicated to supporting, contributing to and promoting the Douglas County Library. The Friends of the Douglas County Library provides “no strings” funding to support a wide variety of special programs and projects that enrich, expand and enhance what the library has to offer children, teens and adults. These programs promote literacy, learning and contribute to a strong community supported by a strong library.
