Applications are now available for the 2020 Carson City International Film Weekend, sponsored by the Carson City Culture & Tourism Authority, Bob Boldrick Theater and the Friends of the Carson City Library.
The independent film competition submission guidelines are included on the 2020 entry form (below), including the postmarked deadline of Jan. 10, 2020. Contest winners will be shown as part of the Carson City International Film Weekend on Feb. 27, 28 and 29, 2020.
This special weekend consists of free afternoon and evening film viewings followed by informal discussion.
Afternoon showings will spotlight the independently made films selected by the International Film Weekend Committee, while evening viewings will consist of award-winning, commercially-produced international films.
Submitted films may be produced by students or independent filmmakers in the United States or abroad. Selection criteria include awareness, diversity, understanding and craft.
